Much has been written here about Anthropogenic Global Warming. Suffice it to say that we have been over the merits of this theory many times over. But along the way it is worthwhile to just stop and listen to the rhetoric of the “true believers.” Are they like a slick used car salesmen trying to sell you a pig in a pokey? Are their proclamations reasonable and logical? Is there any such thing as “settled science”? Is it the American way to fine and jail deniers?
So lets pause a moment and listen to some reason and logic in the video above. Then let each of us make an intellectual, fact based judgement on the theory being presented not a strong armed acceptance. Let us not be bludgeoned into acceptance by outrageous claims and fear mongering. Is this not the American way?
Consider these remarks made by the President as reported by Breitbart:
At the National Hurricane Center in Miami, President Obama warns that the United States needs more preparedness for the extreme weather fueled by climate change.
“The best climate scientists in the world are telling us that extreme weather events like hurricanes are likely to become more powerful,” he said, adding that stronger storms and higher sea levels were a recipe for disaster.
During his remarks he asserted that climate change had “significant effects” on making storms worse.
“Climate change didn’t cause Hurricane Sandy but it might have made it stronger – the fact that the sea level in New York Harbor is about a foot higher than a century ago certainly made the storm surge worse,” he warned.
Obama called for Congress to focus on a bipartisan commitment to building “resilience” to the changing climate through infrastructure spending.
There is not one ounce of proof that extreme weather is fueled by or caused by Anthropogenic Global Warming. It is one of many factless claims made by the Left. Neither is there any evidence that storms are being made worse by greenhouse gases. This all is merely far Left ideology, an ideology that is faith based not fact based.
