What You Don’t Understand About The Apple Versus FBI Controversy

If you have listened to the video above you know that this debate is not over whether Apple refuses to open and turn over the data from one terrorist phone. Apple is willing to do that as many times as asked.

What it is about is that the government is lazy. It doesn’t want to have to go to Apple on a case by case basis and ask for information from a phone. It wants Apple to make iphones that can be penetrated. It wants Apple to create all its phones so that the FBI can enter and unencrypt any phone that Apple produces.  What it is asking Apple to do is to create an inferior phone.

“But if you’re modernized, do you like the fact that the government can’t crack your phone? Do you want the government to be able to crack your phone? If you do, then hate Apple for what they’re doing here. If you like the fact that the government can’t crack your phone, which they’re tantamount admitting here, then you need to support Apple. They’re the ones trying to keep people out of your phone. It’s no more complicated than that, folks.” – Rush Limbaugh

The very fact most people buy an iphone is so that nobody can retrieve any data from it. If you lose it or it is stolen or thieves surreptitiously handle it without your knowledge, then it does nobody any good. Your ID information, your financial information including your bank account, credit cards etc, your SS number are all safe.

THERE IS TOO MUCH STOLEN ID HAPPENING TODAY. And once your ID is stolen there is a ton of grief associated with getting everything back to normal.

But the FBI wants Apple to uncreate its lock proof phone for their own convenience. AND THERE IS NO ASSURANCE THAT ONCE THE CODES TO OPEN YOUR IPHONE IS GIVEN TO THE FBI THAT THEY WILL NOT BE LEAKED OUT TO CRIMINAL SOURCES.

Do you or do you not have the right to protect your personal information and data? That’s the question.
