Dr. Sebastian Gorka: Obama ‘Passionate In His Petulance’ In Orlando Speech

Breitbart reports:

On Hannity Tuesday night, Dr. Sebastian Gorka sternly objected to President Barack Obama’s attitude towards the fight against radical Islam, calling the president “passionate in his petulance” in refusing to acknowledge radical Islam and jihad as a threat.

“That speech was outrageous,” Gorka told host Sean Hannity, referring to the president’s speech Tuesday in which he attacked Republicans – and Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump in particular – for calling for the government to more proactively combat radical Islam. In his speech, President Obama asserted that “there is no magic to the phrase ‘radical Islam’” and that “extremist groups have perverted Islam to justify terrorism.”

“He said that, what difference does it make what we call it?” Gorka noted. “What if you went to a doctor’s clinic with a serious illness, you had tuberculosis, and the doctor says ‘I’m going to call what you have the flu or the common cold, take two aspirins and go home’?”

Referring to the fact that Omar Mateen, the jihadist responsible for killing 49 people at Pulse night club Sunday morning, was once on a terror watch list and removed, Gorka noted that not all the facts surrounding this decision were known to the public, but “most of the big problems we have seen in the last years have come from the DOJ [Department of Justice],” which “puts the political correctness matrix” over law enforcement.

Hannity posed a question specifically about President Obama, comparing the president’s warm statements regarding Islam to his remarks about Christianity over the years. “He is on the wrong side all the time,” Hannity noted. To explain the difference in tone when regarding the two religions, Gorka noted that President Obama “comes from a certain ideological background” where “America is the problem.”

Dr. Gorka’s book, Defeating Jihad: The Winnable War, is available now.
